Microsoft Flight January 2011 Update

ms_3From Microsoft Flight: Welcome to our latest Microsoft Flight News update! We are happy to announce some new postings.

History: In November we added a new section to the “News” item to provide messages and communications direct from the Microsoft Flight Developers.

In December we introduced a new section to the web site to showcase some in-process screen shots from the game.

New in January, we’ve added 4 new screen shots to show our continued progress with the environment. We have also added a January News from the Team update to cover a concern we’ve heard though the Tell Microsoft Flight alias: Online vs. Offline gameplay.

Play online or offline, the choice is yours.

logo_microsoft_flightGreetings to all Flight fans! We would like to welcome you to our January “News from the Team” addition. First off, we hope you like the screen shots.

We are happy to be able to share with you another check point in the development process. We are all working hard to bring you a truly exciting experience. We continue to receive and enjoy all your emails and comments via the Tell Microsoft Flight email alias. Although we cannot reply to each and every one, we do read these and appreciate the comments and suggestions.

Getmapping’s Scottish Aerial Photography Gets the Flight Sim Treatment

getmappingGetmapping’s aerial photographic survey of Scotland is being compiled into a comprehensive set of terrain scenery by Horizon Simulation for the popular Microsoft Flight Simulator, ‘Generation X’ edition. The first volume which complements scenery of the whole of England and Wales was the Western Isles. It has been closely followed by the Shetland and Orkney Islands. These form part of a planned series of five ultra-high definition photographic sceneries, published by Playsims, that will ultimately cover the whole of mainland Scotland and its outlying islands.

VFR Airfields: Scotland Vol 1

scotlandDeveloped by highly acclaimed airport scenery designers, Scotflight, VFR Airfields Scotland is an upgrade to Microsoft Flight Simulator X that replaces the default, generic airport scenery with detailed and accurate, realistic and recognisable models of the actual airports.
